Native American Indian Association – Nashville, TN
- The Native American Indian Association Community Center has been a labor of love since our initial design in 1995.
- Due to NAIA’s tireless efforts to attract funding, the Community Center is closer than ever to becoming a reality.
- The design expresses a holistic relationship of past, present, and future, and will be architecturally identifiable as a Native American facility
- The proposed design evokes a sense of animation, of shelter given form by the earth but drawn into the sky. A fabric entrance canopy refers to the traditional structures used by nomadic Indian tribes of the region.
- The Community Center will be ecologically sustainable and energy-conservative. Local and sustainable wood and stone materials will be used.
